NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) -- New Orleans police released a photo on Wednesday of a suspect in an Uptown burglary. The pic was taken from a surveillance camera on Nashville Avenue at a house where the man is accused of breaking in through a side door, stealing some power tools, and leaving in a white pickup truck. The "Best on Mars" shirt is part of an old sneaker campaign. The right tip to CrimeStoppers could land the worst burglar on Nashville Ave behind bars.
Wednesday's Wheel of Justice report also included the latest on a murder on the west bank. Jefferson Parish deputies say 17-year old Sidney Landry was found shot to death on the porch of a home on 21st Street in Gretna. According to deputies, he was shot a short distance away, on the nearby canal bank, ran a short distance, then collapsed at the home.
Finally Wednesday's WOJ included a photo of a man who the NOPD is calling a person of interest in an armed robbery. The attack happened last Friday in the driveway of a home in the 1900 block of Wilton Drive. According to police, a woman was approached by a man with a gun who stole her purse and cell phone. Police are not calling the man in the photo a suspect, but they think he may have information about the attack.
