NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to find out who burglarized a maintenance shop at City Park and stole some lawn equipment. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, April 18, two burglars pried open the backdoor of the warehouse and stole two Echo brand trimmers and leaf blowers. Police also released some security camera footage of what happened.
In the footage, the suspects are seen breaking into the building and removing the equipment. Both are wearing long pants, hoodies and gloves. Police say they could not find any security camera footage in the area that shows what the thieves used as a getaway car.
Also, police say the burglary triggered the building's alarm, but the crime wasn't discovered for another four hours when workers showed up to begin their shift.
