WGNO --  Deputies in Saint Charles Parish are looking for a man who they say stole some power tools from a Sears store and injured the employee who tried to stop him.  They say it happened over the weekend when a man took the tools and headed for his pickup truck.

Deputies say an employee ran after him and jumped into the bed of the pickup.  That's when the man is accused of accelerating and braking the truck, trying to throw the worker onto the parking lot pavement.  In the end, the worker jumped out of the truck, but was a little bruised and beaten up, and the man left the scene.  The photos were taken from the store's surveillance cameras.

Monday's Wheel of Justice report also included the search for a man who is accused of ignoring a restraining order and stabbing his ex-girlfriend.  Police in Franklin are working the case.

They say Harold Verdin, who's last known address is in Houma, stabbed his ex-girlfriend as she was leaving a McDonald's restaurant.  At last word, she was in critical condition.  Police say Verdin should be considered dangerous because he's also threatened to take his own life.
