NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) -- New Orleans police are looking for an accused car burglar who called off one of his break-ins because he triggered a car's alarm. It happened in the 5800 block of Bancroft Drive. Police say the burglar was able to steal some valuables from one car. But surveillance video shows the man remove his shirt then try to get into a SUV, and that's when the car's alarm began to sound. The man was also seen driving a silver Nissan Sentra. The NOPD was given the surveillance footage by Project NOLA.
Wednesday's Wheel of Justice report also included a pair of armed robberies on Milan Street between Camp and Prytania. They happened late Tuesday night, and police say the pair is related to at least three other armed robberies in the same area. In each case, police say the robber targeted people who were walking in the area. In at least one of the cases, police say the robber threw a woman to the ground before taking her purse.

The case was featured previously on the Wheel of Justice when police only released surveillance photos of the robbery showing a man with a mask and a gun.
