(WGNO) — The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s office announced a $25,000 reward in connection with a theft from an oil production rental company in Port Fourchon. The company is putting up the cash. According to deputies, someone stole a significant amount of oil production equipment from the company. Deputies also released a photo of a suspect. Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report also included a double shooting in the Saint Roch neighborhood. According to police, one man died at the hospital and the other was in critical condition. The attack happened in the 1700 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.
In another double shooting that left both victims dead, the NOPD now has two suspects. The attack happened last Monday night in the 7000 block of Martin Drive in Eastern New Orleans. Police are looking for 33-year-old Ahmad R. Rainey. They say his girlfriend, identified as 27-year-old Gilda Woodridge, helped orchestrate the murders. They say she already surrendered and faces a principal to first degree murder charge.
Finally, Wednesday’s report included the search for whoever shot an 18-year-old as he was walking near West 29th Avenue in Covington. According to Covington police, the teen was hit in the chest with either a .22 caliber bullet or pellet. He’s going to be okay, but police remain on the lookout for whoever took the shot.
