NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) -- New Orleans police say they're looking for a man who drove a taxi cab to a gas station in Eastern New Orleans. Problem is, they say, the cab was stolen. Police say the cab was stolen on October 19 in Jefferson Parish. The convenience store surveillance camera pic is from the Brothers gas station on the I-10 Service Road.
Monday's Wheel of Justice report also included a $10,000 reward for information that helps police catch whoever shot a high-ranking NOPD officer on Sunday. According to the NOPD, Commander Derek Frick was driving an unmarked police cruiser near the intersection of Higgins and Alvar streets when someone in a beige SUV pulled up next to him and opened fire. Frick was hit in the neck but will be okay, according to police.
Finally, Monday's report included two persons of interest in a shooting and robbery case in Algiers. Police released photos of two men who they say might have information about the attack last Wednesday on General DeGaulle Drive. Police say the victim was shot in the leg and robbed. Detectives say two people might have information in the case, but they're stressing that neither is a suspect.
