UPDATE: The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office said the 63-year-old man who was shot in the head has died. The coroner's office identified him as Earnest McKnight.
The attack is the latest case to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – NOPD is investigating a Sunday night shooting in Central City that left six people injured.
According to NOPD, one of the six victims was shot in the head. The other five people shot sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened near First and South Derbigny streets. Police said they believe the suspect or suspects had only one target, but struck several bystanders.
Police said the shooting might be connected to other violence in Central City over the past few weeks.
